Instructions for presenters

To ensure the clarity and impact of your presentation, please follow the guidelines below:

Oral presenters

  • Focus on key messages
Structure your talk around 2–3 key points. Avoid overwhelming your audience with too much detail—keep your message clear and focused.
  • Time management
You will have 10 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes for discussion. To ensure smooth transitions between sessions, stay within your allotted time. Please refer to the  detailed virtual programme.
  • Slide design
    • Prepare a PowerPoint presentation with no more than 10 slides, focusing on clear and simple messages.
    • Include clear graphs or visuals to illustrate your data, and make sure all text is large enough to be easily readable from the back of the room.
    • You may use either the standard (4:3) or widescreen (16:9) aspect ratio for your slides.
    • Bring your presentation on a USB stick, as there will be no time to switch between personal laptops during the session.
    • If your presentation contains video files, ensure you have a backup on a USB stick, as compatibility issues may arise.
    • For Mac Users: Please ensure your presentation is compatible with PC beforehand.
  • Engage the audience
Speak clearly and at a moderate pace. Use the discussion time to clarify points and address questions.

Poster presenters

  • Poster size
Posters should be prepared in portrait A0 size (841 mm width x 1189 mm height).
  • Clarity in design
    • Organize your poster in a logical flow: introduction, methods, results, and conclusion. Use headings to guide viewers through the content.
    • Focus on key findings—present concise data that supports your main points. Avoid cluttering your poster with too much information or overly complex charts.
    • Use large, readable fonts and a simple color scheme that enhances, rather than distracts from, your message.
  • Presenting your poster
    • Poster presentations will take place during the scheduled sessions (refer to the attached programme).
    • Be prepared to summarize your work in a 2-3 minute overview. Focus on your key findings and why they matter.
    • Engage with viewers—invite questions and discuss specific aspects of your research.
