Elections 2026 to the Organizing Committee (OC)
At the end of 2026, three Organizing Committee members will conclude their terms.
ELC members are invited to nominate candidates for the three open positions on the Organizing Committee.
Responsibilities of Organizing Committee Members
- Deciding the criteria on which the scientific contributions to the meeting are selected.
- Selection of scientific contributions to the annual meeting.
- Practical arrangements for the scientific meeting.
- Fundraising to run the scientific meeting.
Call for nominations is now open
ELC members are invited to nominate candidates for the Organizing Committee.
Dealine to submit a nomination is May 10.
The nominations will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee, who will select from them the candidates to stand for election, based on:
(a) the nominee’s qualifications and suitability for the position
(b) geographical spread of candidates and existing OC members
(c) gender balance
Procedures
The Organizing Committee will review the nominations and shortlist 1–4 candidates per position.
Elections will held at the annual meeting in Tutzing Septmeber 7-10, 2026.
Every participant in the scientific meeting, including Organinzing Committee members, has one vote.

The timetable and procedures for elections to the ELC’s Organizing Committee.
| April 10 – May 10 | Nominations welcome from ELC members for candidates for vacant positions in the Organizing Committee. |
| May 11 – May 20 | Organizing Committee reviews the nominations and makes a shortlist of candidates. |
| August 1 | Shortlisted candidates on ELC website. |
| September 9 | ELC members may vote (ballot elections will be held at the annual meeting). |
| September/October | The result of the voting is announced on the ELC website. |
