The ELC Organizing Committee (OC) elections 2026 were held during the Annual Members’ Assembly at the 49th ELC Meeting in Tutzing.
Following the election, Antoine Rimbert, Anja Zeigerer and Francesca Zimetti received the highest number of votes and have been elected to join the ELC Organizing Committee from January 2027.
Nuria Amigo, Nicola Ferri and Pirkka-Pekka Laurila will be stepping down as members of the OC at the end of 2026, creating three vacant positions from January 2027.

Election timetable
The timetable and procedures for the 2027 elections to the ELC’s Organizing Committee.
| April 10-May 10 | Nominations welcome from ELC members for candidates for vacant positions in the Organizing Committee. |
| May 10-20 | Organising Committee reviews the nominations and makes a shortlist of candidates. |
| August 1 | Shortlisted candidates on ELC website. |
| September | ELC members may vote (elections to be held at the annual meeting). |
| September/October | The result of the voting is announced on the ELC website. |
Organising Committee members’ duties are:
- fundraising to run the scientific meeting
- content of the website (www.eas-elc.org)
- deciding the criteria on which the scientific contributions to the meeting are selected
- selection of scientific contributions to the annual meeting
- practical arrangements for the scientific meeting
